Wipro Applying Thought In Schools Program is a unique result of moving towards Wipro’s vision of ‘Expanding Possibilities’ through Educomp’s own belief in ‘What Learning Can Be’.


As Curriculum & Training Partner for a major portion of the Program, Educomp creates content for the program at Bangalore and delivers it at Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.

To reach the students, we have identified the teacher and the parent as the essential via media.

Educomp’s Teacher Empowerment Program

The eagerness for knowledge that lasts a lifetime is linked to the teacher’s ability to teach well and nurture basic skills. Teachers play a critical role in influencing the teaching-learning process by understanding potential, transforming existing instructional practices for active learning, identifying teaching-learning styles, discovering hidden talents, training young minds to retain new information and associating acquired knowledge with existing wisdom. Education must warrant retention and application of what is learnt. The Teacher Empowerment Program encourages schools to adapt to the revolution in education. It seeks to energize the process of teaching-learning. The program helps enhance the Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes of teachers. It gives teachers the motivation, confidence and skills to increase student achievement. In turn, the students benefit!

The training approach offered by Educomp Solutions Ltd. is professional in its entirety. Teachers are trained through a series of interactive workshop sessions designed to hone their personal, professional, managerial skills; and thereby enhance student learning. Interspersed with curriculum related hands-on activities and workshop-to-workplace applications, all sessions enthuse the teachers without failing to deliver the intended material. Also, as a sequel to workshop sessions, classroom support is provided to ensure correct implementation of the techniques picked up in the workshops. A familiarization program for School Principals also forms a part of the Teacher Empowerment Program.

Principals’ Workshops
The School Management, including the Principal, is an integral part of the Wipro Applying Thought in Schools Program.

We perceive an urgent need for School Managements to recognize specific systemic changes, assist in the implementation of techniques and strategies that teachers are training in and provide support for quality education. The program provides Principals with an opportunity to strengthen their instructional leadership skills, share insights and revitalize their personal vision in an intellectually stimulating and practical atmosphere.

Four 3-hour sessions, spread over 2 years, ensure professional development for school leaders who are hard-pressed for time. Principals and management committee members from all schools undertaking the Teacher Empowerment Program are eligible for each of the four sessions. The short, yet highly informative workshop sessions also serve as a platform for sharing experiences with other Principals.
