Partnering with Central and State Governments to Bridge the Digital Divide
Educomp has a track record of implementing large scale Public-Private-Partnership
projects. We work very closely with various State and Central Government agencies,
Ministries of IT and HRD, and Governments of other countries in order to bridge
the digital divide. These educational programs involve comprehensive education infrastructure
implementation, teacher training and content development projects.
Educomp has partnered with fourteen (14) State Governments, namely Government of
Assam, Karnataka, Orissa, Tripura, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, covering over
14500 government schools and benefiting 7.9 million students studying in government
schools in India. Educomp executes projects on a turnkey basis, involving
setting up and running computer education programmes in schools.
We have made computer education accessible to the remotest locations across the
country by introducing computer education, computer-aided education and by providing
IT infrastructure in schools. We have brought about a transformation in the teaching-learning
processes by empowering teachers and encouraging students to acquire knowledge and
gain clarity of concept through use of ICT.
Educomp has created content in regional languages for these projects.
The content created is a combination of Computer literacy and curriculum based content.
The topics selected for the content creation are such that the concepts are best
explained using multimedia, developed to be interesting and interactive, to help
students learn the use of computers as a tool to enhance their existing knowledge
We at Educomp, aim to equip each student/ teacher with technology-
based educational skills to make teaching and learning more interactive and interesting.
