Partnering with Central and State Governments to Bridge the Digital Divide

Educomp has a track record of implementing large scale Public-Private-Partnership projects. We work very closely with various State and Central Government agencies, Ministries of IT and HRD, and Governments of other countries in order to bridge the digital divide. These educational programs involve comprehensive education infrastructure implementation, teacher training and content development projects.

Educomp has partnered with fourteen (14) State Governments, namely Government of Assam, Karnataka, Orissa, Tripura, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, covering over 10771 government schools and benefiting 7.9 million students studying in government schools in India. Educomp executes projects on a turnkey basis, involving setting up and running computer education programmes in schools.

We have made computer education accessible to the remotest locations across the country by introducing computer education, computer-aided education and by providing IT infrastructure in schools. We have brought about a transformation in the teaching-learning processes by empowering teachers and encouraging students to acquire knowledge and gain clarity of concept through use of ICT.

Educomp has created content in regional languages for these projects. The content created is a combination of Computer literacy and curriculum based content. The topics selected for the content creation are such that the concepts are best explained using multimedia, developed to be interesting and interactive, to help students learn the use of computers as a tool to enhance their existing knowledge base.

We at Educomp, aim to equip each student/ teacher with technology- based educational skills to make teaching and learning more interactive and interesting.

Multimedia Based Educational Content Development Project - 500 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Introduction of computer-aided learning in schools in the state of Assam for improved and enhanced teaching-learning process in classroom.
  • Development and installation of multimedia-based content on the hard spots identified.
  • Training teachers in middle schools in Assam.

M/S Educomp Solutions Ltd, New Delhi has successfully developed interactive digitized contents for selected hard spots of Maths, Science, English for primary and upper primary and also trained 1013 teachers across the state.

Computer Education & Computer Aided Education Programme - 100 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Supply of Computer Hardware, Software and connected accessories and provide computer education services and computer aided education in Government Schools.
  • To provide and maintain in working condition the Computer Hardware, Software and necessary infrastructure.
  • To provide 2 full time Instructors at each school.
  • To impart general awareness courses to students of Classes V to X for each class as per the syllabus.
  • To provide the Multimedia Educational Software for providing Computer Education.
  • To provide the spoken English Course to students of Class V to X.
  • To supply adequate stationery and consumables at each school.
  • To impart training to at least 5 (five) Government teachers per year in each school.

Computer Education Programme - 28 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • The project is already completed with 28 Govt. Senior secondary schools in Delhi.
  • Class room teaching as well as hands on training in Computer literacy.
  • Teachers training.
  • Supply of computer hardware, software and connected accessories.

Computer Aided Education Project - 300 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Supply and maintenance of computer hardware, software and connected accessories.
  • Development of multimedia - based educational content in Oriya language.
  • To provide full time Computer Assistant at schools.
  • To provide training to the subject teachers, headmaster/ headmistress to make them capable of installing, operating and using the software.

M/s Educomp Solutions Ltd, New Delhi is successfully implementing the computer Aided Education (CAE) Programme for Orissa Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) in 300 schools in 12 Districts across the State.

Mahiti Sindhu Project (MSP)

The project has already been completed with 50 high schools of Karnataka in 5 years and has been extended upto 88 more schools in Karnataka for 3 years under the 11th Finance Commission.

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Provide computer education to the students of selected Government schools in the state of Karnataka.
  • Help the subject teachers in teaching the hard spots with the help of content CD ROM’s available in the lab.
  • Train the subject teachers on the basics of computers and its applications in teaching.

Computer Education Services - 171 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • To provide computer education services in Govt.schools/ colleges located in various districts of U.P.
  • To impart teacher training program in the schools/colleges and provide certificate in "Computer literacy program" to each participant after completion of the training program.
  • To create curriculum based on computer literacy program for each teacher participating in the training program.
  • To provide UPDESCO approved course material as per the syllabi to each student and provide consumables like computer stationary etc.

Computer Education & Computer Aided Education Programme - 45 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Provide Computer education and Computer aided education to the students of select Government schools in the state of Tripura.
  • Supply of computer hardware, software and connected accessories and provide computer education services in the schools.
  • Provide two full Time instructors at each school for teaching students and for giving training to teachers as well.

Computer Aided Education - 500 schools

Educomp Solutions Ltd, New Delhi has been implementing the Computer Aided Education (CAE) programme for Gujarat Council of Primary Education (GCPE) in 500 schools in 25 districts across the State. Educomp has developed the digitized contents for selected hard spots of mathematics, science & English for the classes 5, 6 & 7th i.e. primary & upper primary students. All the 500 schools have been provided with 5 computer systems, 5 UPS and 1 printer. Educomp has been also trained @ 3 teachers per school i.e. 1500 teachers in the Computer Aided Education and Computer Literacy successfully.

Computer Aided Education - 2819 schools

The key deliverables of the Project are as follows:

  • Introduce Computer Aided Learning in schools of Gujarat covering North and Saurashtra & Kutchha Zone from classes 5th to 7th within the framework of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Mission.
  • Supply of Computer Hardware, Software and connected accessories and provide maintenance.
  • To supply the stationary and consumables at each school.
  • To provide training to Subject Teachers to make them capable of installing, operating & using the software.
  • To deploy the Project Management Team comprising of Project Managers for each zone, Zonal Coordinators and School Coordinator.

Multimedia Based Educational Content Development

Educomp has been chosen to develop the multimedia based educational content for 4871 Elementary Schools all 25 districts across the state for the period of 3 years.

The key deliverables of the Project are as follows:

  • To develop Multimedia Based Educational Content based on Gujarat State Syllabus. using Gujarati as the medium of instruction in Gujarati, Social Science and Computer Science subjects of 5th, 6th & 7th Standard and English (Lower Level) Preparatory Course.
  • To provide the training to total of 100 persons along with 100 copies of Training/instruction manuals which should cover details of modules, how to use the content and basic troubleshooting features.

Computer Education Programme - 650 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • To provide the Computer Education to the students of the Government and Government Aided Schools in the State of West Bengal.
  • To provide and maintain the computer hardware, software and necessary infrastructure like furniture and fixtures.
  • Providing full time instructors at each school for teaching students and for giving training to teachers as well.
  • To provide consumables like computer stationery and develop courseware for students.

Computer Education Services - 716 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • To provide Computer Education as per syllabus prescribed to the students of class 6-12th of Govt. Sr. Sec School in the state of Haryana.
  • To supply required Stationery, Consumables and Books/ Courseware mapping the departments requirements.
  • To provide two faculties in each School. To impart basic computer training to teachers of every allotted school to be nominated by the Principal/Head teacher every year.
  • The provide the Project Management team comprising of a Project Manager at Chandigarh and one District Coordinator per district for smooth functioning of Project.

Computer Education & Computer Aided Education Programme - 343 hostels

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Implementing Computer Education and Computer Aided Education to the students of each Hostel.
  • Supply of Computer Hardware, Software and connected accessories on BOO (Build, Own, Operate) basis.
  • To supply the stationary and consumables at each hostel.
  • Providing full time instructors at each hostel for teaching students and for giving training to teachers as well.
  • To develop and supply the courseware for students for Computer Education.

Computer Aided Education Programme - 187 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Provide Computer education and Computer aided education to the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas under SSA in the state of Jharkhand.
  • Supply of computer hardware, software and connected accessories and provide computer education services in the schools for a period of 3 years.
  • To supply adequate stationary and consumables at each school & training centres.

Computer Education Programme - 208 schools

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • Provide Computer education and Information and Communication technology (ICT) in Govt. Senior secondary schools of Rajasthan.
  • To install and maintain Computer Labs and to provide educational services in Government Senior Secondary Schools.
  • To impart Computer Education to students of classes IX to XII in accordance with the syllabi / curriculum prescribed by the BSER.

Computer Education Project - 890 schools

Government of Andhra Pradesh has awarded 890 schools to Educomp to implement Computer Education.

The key deliverables of the project are as follows:

  • To supply Computer Hardware, Software and connected accessories at each school.
  • To provide two full-time instructors at each school.
  • To maintain the entire system in working condition during the contract period.
  • To supply adequate stationery and consumables at each school.
  • To impart training to at least 5 (five) teachers per year per school.
  • To make provision for Internet broadband at each school.
